Adele's career journey spans across various industries and continents, reflecting her versatility and adaptability. Beginning as a legal secretary in South Africa, she embarked on a path of continuous learning, studying software development while working part-time. Transitioning to a role as a software developer in Cape Town, Adele honed her IT skills before pursuing opportunities abroad, eventually settling in Australia with her family.
In Canberra, Adele's career trajectory shifted towards accounting, initially as a bookkeeper in the real estate sector. Her passion for accounting blossomed alongside her acquisition of valuable skills and knowledge in property management. Pursuing further education, Adele obtained qualifications as a Chartered Accountant while working in an accounting practice, eventually founding the accounting arm of Secfin in 2012 to address the need for personalised client service.
With tertiary qualifications in IT and a Masters in Accounting, Adele offers a unique blend of expertise to her clients at Secfin. Her extensive experience spans large corporations in the Netherlands to medium and small businesses across South Africa and Australia, providing her with a deep understanding of the complexities of business operations. Outside of work, Adele cherishes time spent with her family, enjoying outdoor adventures such as camping, 4WDing, and exploring the vast Australian landscape, recognising the importance of work-life balance for self-employed individuals.
